True odds two-up - we take no commission. Up-stairs at Casino Canberra from 12 noon to 9pm ANZAC Day. We will be raising money for Soldier on so come and help support our returned soldiers.

Legendary Kevin Johnson live on stage



Kevin Johnson, legendary Australian singer/song writer on stage Friday 27 March up-stairs at Casino Canberra.
Kevin’s biggest hit is "Rock and Roll I Gave You the Best Years of My Life", which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart in 1973. He also had a top 20 hit with "Bonnie Please Don't Go" (aka "She's Leavin'") in 1971. Other hit songs include "Kedron Brook"and "Man of the 20th Century". "Rock and Roll" is one of the most covered songs written by an Australian with 27 different artists recording it. Kevin has not been to Canberra for a long time and there is one show only so it will book out quickly.

Friday 20 February – The Dorothy Jane Duo.
Acoustic Blues n Roots with award-winning singer/songwriter/blues-harp player, Dorothy-Jane "DJ" Gosper and slide/pickin' guitarist extraordinaire, Richard Steele. This powerhouse duo play a mix of earthy originals and traditional covers from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago blues.

Hall has been playing lead guitar for over 15 years, performing all over the world, sharpening his talents and maturing into a song writer of world class.


Throughout the past 15 years Gianni has developed a unique and versatile approach to rhythm guitar that is essential to The Bridge Between’s sound. C.C. and Gianni have a rapport that only time can generate, they’ve been best friends for 20 years. They spent most of the time writing songs and driving their original blues roots sounds to the punters of Australia.

Saturday 17 January – Dr Jawbone and the Restless Souls


The band features Ross Buchanan on keys. Arguably one of Canberra’s leading exponents of boogie & stride styles, with a busy left hand he covers the lack of a bass in the band. Owen Cooper on trombone & vocals. Owen is an outstanding musician, equally comfortable playing trombone or bass guitar, singing or writing music. He plays the main themes but also some exhilarating improvised solos.     Ken Nosworthy on drums. In a career spanning some 45 years Ken has played all styles of music since starting on jazz & now returns to his preferred genre to be the engine room for “ Dr Jawbone & the Restless Souls”
