Casino Canberra has continued support of the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation with a donation of $4,500.
General Manager of Casino Canberra, Bernie Morris presents the cheque to Dr Alison Kent.
The Hellenic Club are also hosting a major fundraiser for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation and the Canberra Hospital Foundation on Saturday 10 November and tickets are just $125 each.
It will be the inaugural HIPPOCRATES BALL.
Hippocrates once said 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food' – the delicious 3 course meal served on the night will honour those words. There is however a medical warning regarding the entertainment for the evening – YOU COULD DIE LAUGHING.
Auction items on the night will include a library of books all signed by their authors, a CD collection with each CD signed by the recording artist, a rare cast and crew tee shirt for Pirates of the Caribbean signed by Geoffrey Rush and, among the collection of wines, a red signed by Nobel Prize winner, Professor Brain Schmidt.
The Newborn Intensive Care Foundation is a local charity raising money to help sick newborn babies from the ACT and Southern NSW. We are 100% local and 100% voluntary so that 100% of the money we raise goes to help critically ill newborns. Since 1995 we have raised in excess of $3,000,000 that has gone towards medical equipment, nurse education and research.
To book, phone the Hellenic Club on 62810899 or go to www.hellenicclub.com.au
