McAlister Kemp return 1 March

Multi-award winning Australian country music duo Drew McAlister Troy Kemp write, record and perform music that touches on core values, real people, great fun and great music! Their debut album produced three #1 singles ('All Kinds Of Tough', 'Hell Yeah', 'Hard Work') and the duo were rewarded with a ‘Best New Talent’ Golden Guitar at the Country Music Awards of Australia and a CMC Music Award for 'Best New Oz Artist’ in 2011.

McAlister Kemp has quickly established themselves as a headline main stage act at music festivals across Australia. They have performed at the prestigious CMA Music Festival in Nashville and have even opened for US country superstar Alan Jackson. They performed at the Casino in June to a sell out crowed and we welcome them back on Friday 1 March. They will be supported by a country music comedian called Buddy Goode (‘bloody good’ just in case you didn’t get the play on words.)

Tickets are $30 pre sale or $35 at the door.

Tickets available at the Casino's Guest Services reception or Songlands at Cooleman Court.

Doors open at 7.30pm with the support act starting at 8.30pm and McAlister Kemp starting at 9.30pm.

There will be very limited seating.

Casino Supports Newborn Babies

Casino Canberra has continued support of the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation with a donation of $4,500.
General Manager of Casino Canberra, Bernie Morris presents the cheque to Dr Alison Kent.

The Hellenic Club are also hosting a major fundraiser for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation and the Canberra Hospital Foundation on Saturday 10 November and tickets are just $125 each.

It will be the inaugural HIPPOCRATES BALL.
Hippocrates once said 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food' – the delicious 3 course meal served on the night will honour those words. There is however a medical warning regarding the entertainment for the evening – YOU COULD DIE LAUGHING.

Auction items on the night will include a library of books all signed by their authors, a CD collection with each CD signed by the recording artist, a rare cast and crew tee shirt for Pirates of the Caribbean signed by Geoffrey Rush and, among the collection of wines, a red signed by Nobel Prize winner, Professor Brain Schmidt.

The Newborn Intensive Care Foundation is a local charity raising money to help sick newborn babies from the ACT and Southern NSW. We are 100% local and 100% voluntary so that 100% of the money we raise goes to help critically ill newborns. Since 1995 we have raised in excess of $3,000,000 that has gone towards medical equipment, nurse education and research.

To book, phone the Hellenic Club on 62810899 or go to www.hellenicclub.com.au
